๐จ Problem? 1010: Invalid Transaction ๐ฅน
Some of you experienced this error when claiming rewards, trying to bridge etc. since the latest Substrate upgrade.
โน๏ธ Weโve identified the root cause of the issue. With the recent upgrade to the latest Substrate version, the Staking pallet has moved from using the lock mechanism to the hold mechanism.
However, no migration script was provided by Parity, as the original design was intended for Polkadot, which manages a large number of accounts. As a result, users are required to manually migrate by calling the migrate_currency extrinsic in the Staking Pallet.
โ Our Solution for the Community:
1) We will develop a custom script to automatically remove old locks for our community members.
2) This will ensure users no longer see any discrepancies related to the migration.
๐ค For Users Who Prefer Manual Action
If you wish to handle this yourself, you can manually call the migrate_currency extrinsic in the Staking Pallet. Anyone can call this extrinsic for any stash account.
