In the state of Jalisco, the main heartland of this specific cartel, the JNGC attacked Mexican police vehicles, National Guard bases, and the International Airport in Guadalajara, the state's capital.

The airport has suspended all flights, and Mexico has declared a NOTAM above Guadalajara. The military is currently being deployed to the city.

All across the state of Jalisco, the JNGC cartel has started attacking Mexican government forces—urging civilians to stay inside, saying that anyone who stands in their path will be 'killed with no mercy'. Public executions have taken place, and the streets are littered with burning vehicles. Heavy clashes are currently taking place.
