I won't name names and embarrass anyone but one of you said to me on Tuesday how much representing BLFF meant to you. That is why I created it in the first place, and to see team members flourish and thrive and in freezing conditions on Tuesday and in a demanding and sometimes intense environment in general makes me very proud, and after 4 and a half years and to still be in the trenches and with such vigour you should all be proud of yourselves ❤🔥

NFU Scotland Rally at the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh – 28/11/24

The National Farmers Union (NFU) Scotland organized a rally to call on the Scottish Government for assurances that its upcoming budget will provide robust support for farming and crofting. We saw this as an excellent opportunity to share our new leaflet with Scottish farmers. Reports estimate a turnout of a few hundred people, and we distributed approximately 250 leaflets during the event.

The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. Many of the farmers we spoke to expressed an awareness of the challenges ahead, noting that the Government’s stance on agriculture poses a significant concern, beyond the implications of Rachel Reeves’ budget.

While it was encouraging to see the level of participation at the rally, it’s clear that farmers need to find their own voice in this fight—independent of establishment groups like the NFU or the Countryside Alliance, and away from the influence of so-called “heroes” like Jeremy Clarkson.

BLFF was formed in May 2021 and since then we have been consistent and relentless in our involvement and contribution to grass roots action all over the UK. The fact is this has come at great personal expense to both myself and my mum who has personally kept BLFF going for a while now. To run BLFF and go at the pace we've set over such a long period of time has come with huge financial loss in the tens of thousands .What people see on social media are only the cherry pickings of the mountain of work that goes on behind the scenes to make what we do possible and to maintain a high level of productivity as a team and continuing to fight for and preserve our freedom. Personally I can say that I have some of the most committed and genuine people around me in this team who sacrifice their time energy and money to try and make a difference. They also work extremely hard on location and do not stand on ceremony. I've taken it as far as I can financial and now we really need help! Even if it's just one pound a week or a month. I really dont want anyone to give anything they cant comfortably afford and I believe in and prefer the method that many hands make light work.

The UK Government has announced a 'Day of Reflection' on March 9th to mark the 5th anniversary of the 'pandemic'. They say this day will offer an opportunity to "remember & commemorate those who lost their lives, reflect on the sacrifices made & pay tribute to the work of health & social care staff, frontline workers & researchers".

JANUARY UPDATE.
WHAT THE TEAM HAVE PLANNED.

Firstly, a huge thank you for the two donations we received in December! These generous contributions are very much appreciated!

In the upcoming weeks and months our team plan to be in London for the unite the Kingdom rally on February 1st to distribute a large number of the light paper and various leaflets. We need to order another 5 thousand of our British farmers For Freedom leaflet which we plan to hand out on the day.
At the farmers protest in London on November 19th of last year the team managed to distribute all 2 thousand leaflets that we had that day and we could have done double that if we had them. On the same day other members of the team who cant attend London will also be working in their local area.
The team will also be in attendance to support the Truth Be Told event on March 9th in London.
We are also planning a large BLFF event in Birmingham later in March. Details of this event will be released soon and plans are going incredibly well even at this early stage. The team are very excited for this one and we are anticipating a very productive and memorable day.

Just visited the hope cottage farm shop in Broughton North Wales. Had a great conversation with a very awake farmer who said there's been a large rise in demand for their Milk since the introduction Bovaer to Cow feed and Alra products.
Only £150 for a litre of organic raw Milk which is actually cheaper the co op's organic range.

I also left her with a copy of the light paper, our BLFF A4, A6 and our new A5 British Farmers For Freedom leaflet.
