You may or may not have seen me hang around the lobby in the game, possibly popping in-and-out while I’m testing new functionality and spouting stuff regarding me rebooting the server to apply new changes and fixes and such. Yes, one of the guys with the little crown floating above their head is me. I’m Ron (or Raid) and I’m the lead game developer of (most of) the BitHotel game and our multiplayer server.
I’ve been keeping a close eye on the feedback we’ve been receiving, especially the bugs that people keep running into- and I wanted to address some of the concerns I keep seeing pop up over and over, and hopefully shed some light of what’s going on behind the scenes (and why we’re always so dang busy).

📣 Bit Hotel Game Economy Update 📣

As you might have noticed in the Bit Hotel Open Beta we’re making some changes from time to time. While we’re preparing for a very large patch tomorrow we have changed some small things here and there as well already. 👀
One of the biggest things we have to update is the Cryptobomber ticket earnings and Lobby shop prices. Both will be multiplied 10x. So you earn ten times more with cryptobomber and you need ten times more tickets to buy the same item than you needed last week. This was a needed update to facilitate mini-game mechanics in the new mini-games that are coming and does not change the economy balance.
We look forward to sharing you more patch notes soon, after we merge the new fixes! Stay tuned!🔥

As a lot of new players are hopping into Bit Hotel every day we constantly see more and more users asking the same questions, especially regarding the web3 features. Wherein most of the Bit Hotel veterans have no problem connecting a wallet and transacting in-game, a lot of new users seem to feel lost. Most are not completely aware how the purple currency BTH works yet and how to send transactions (with a gas token being required to complicate things more). Or even how a wallet works! ❓
Therefore we’re pushing a tutorial article live. This tutorial will be opened in-game if a user does not have a wallet installed, to help them get started! 🔥
