A summary shared with the BiRD team on the 2nd of October...

Here is the story so far. On 08.12.20 dr Pierre Kory gives senate testimony about miraculous effect of Ivermectin vs covid. Also in Dec 2020 Merck whose patent on Ivermectin is long gone, received US govt approval & $350mln to develop new antiviral drug against Covid. In Jan21 dr Tess Lawrie sends letter and does video to Boris Johnson advising him about Ivermectin. She gets no response, so in turn she forms BIRD group (British Ivermectin Recommendation Development). In Feb 21 Merck says Ivermectin doesn't work against covid (basically ignoring 16RCTs made to that day on Ivermectin) to which EMA & WHO follow in March 21. Since then real suppression of Ivermectin began in media call it all misinformation. In June 21 Merck landed a $1.2b with US govt to deliver 1.7mln course of covid antiviral pill. In the same time the success story of India battling Delta Variant with Ivermectin is not mentioned in media and since that there is complete media blackout on India. 24 July 2021 is World Ivermectin Day. In early Sept 21 FDA goes on full whack and call Ivermectin horse medicine. NY Times follows suit to spread fake news about increased calls to poison control that people took Ivermectin and poisoned themselves. Also In early Sept 21 AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) says its study on ivermectin vs Covid shows it doesn't work having previously said and provided study in Feb 21 that Ivermectin works against covid. In mid Sept 21covid data analyst J. Chamie twitter account gets suspended. Then on early hours of 1st October 21 BIRDs twitter account get suspended. Later on that day Merck announces positive results of its antiviral covid pill. Today that story is covered by literally every news outlet.
