The leak was discovered by cybersecurity firm Resecurity, with two threat actors offering access to Indian Personally Identifiable Information (PII) records. One actor, 'pwn0001,' shared samples of Aadhaar data as proof. Another actor, 'Lucius,' leaked 1.8 terabytes of data from an unnamed Indian law enforcement organization.
The data set offered by 'pwn0001' includes various fields related to the PII of Indian citizens, such as name, father's name, phone number, other number, passport number, Aadhaar number, age, gender, address, district, pin code, and state.
