Thank you to the real Republicans who stood with me today!

Every single one of you will be remembered.
Just did an Instagram post on this thesis, hoping my comment section doesn’t explode

Hoynes et al. (2005) looks at the stubbornly high poverty rate in America. They find that the significant rise of single-mother households since the 1970s explains almost all of the rigidity in the poverty rate, and anti-poverty programs explain almost none of it

To test Spearman’s Hypothesis, which is that IQ differences between ethnic groups is due to how well a test measures general intelligence, Warne (2016) examines correlations between student Advanced Placement test scores (less of an intelligence measure) and PSAT scores (a strong intelligence measure). His findings are consistent with Spearman’s Hypothesis for white-latino and white-black differences. It’s inconsistent with white-Asian and inconclusive for white-native American

A city-funded study in Chicago found that bail abolition didn’t lead to an increase in crime. Cassell and Fowkes (2020) reanalyzed the data and found that bail abolition significantly increased crime. Total crimes and violent crimes went up by 45% and 33% respectively among pretrial defendants released. Turns out that releasing criminals from prison isn’t a good idea (I know, shocker).

Still, 68% said covid didn’t change their religious faith. And it seems like most of gen-z and millennials are part of the 68%
And this problem is also very bad news for the nationalist agenda. There’s a very strong correlation between nationalism and faith in God. This is from Who Are We By Sam Huntington

This is divorce rates in California. Curious about the huge increase in the 60’s? That’s when Reagan (then-governor of California) signed the first no-fault divorce law in the nation.
I have lived to see the age of 33 today. I should be dead but God is greater! Thank you Lord!!! 🙌🙌
Harasztosi and Linder (2019) look at a large minimum wage increase in Hungary holistically, considering the effects on employment, consumer costs, firm profits, etc. they find that about 10% of workers affected by the increase lost their jobs. 90% saw an increase in wages, but consumers paid 75% of it through higher prices, and owners paid 25% of it through lower profits. The effect is much higher for companies able to pass the cost onto consumers, e.g. food workers.
