An Inquiry into the "Evil" USB Ethernet Adapters
With the recent (or maybe the ever continuous) plague of "fake" USB Ethernet Adapters seeming containing malware ridden drivers, lcamtuf gets to investigating one, including how they are made. It's an interesting read nonetheless.

Sony patents technology to use AI to predict your next move, to improve input lag
This is kinda the same as DLSS but, if poorly implemented, its going to be horrible. I think there will be a specific user onboarding because everyone plays differently. Not a wise move, but we'll see how it goes.

Not so Elite now, eh?
Qualcomm starts shipping X Elite chips with slower variant with missing performance cores.
A less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite version has begun shipping to OEMs. While Qualcomm insists that the SM8750-3-AB benefits from the same performance improvements as the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite, it has fewer Performance CPU cores than the original model.

i dont understand what TikTok has to provide specifically for people to fucking PAY for this shit
if you ARE going to pay, just go watch a movie or buy Netflix with that money, or buy a damn book like a normal human being
being an almost 16yo Gen Z, it hurts to see the world moving towards this direction of destruction
but, again, this is America so... oh well.

So, TikTok is back. What about CapCut and other ByteDance owned apps?
TikTok is back in the United States. That's good, right? Right?
Well, as it turns out, CapCut (and apps such as TikTok Studio, Marvel Snap and Lemon8) still do not work in the United States. They are unavailable in the App Store and the Google Play Store and even if you manage to get access within the app, you won't get far without getting hit by the "Sorry, CapCut isn't available right now" screen. With CapCut also being the most used video editor for mobile, this is a pretty big concern.
