All mistakes of the postmodernist right can be traced to the abandonment of Goethe for Darwin. Goethe understood that wealth gives form to struggle, this is its freeing quality – the species remains limited yet achieves the absolute. Darwinism, like liberalism, is an interim struggle, a struggle equally against completion and life – the species simply is.
