Through their art, women express the poetry of life

The “Golden Crescent” Higher Institute of Art concluded its 2025–2026 academic year with a ceremony. Despite the war and the challenges and obstacles it brought, the students successfully completed the year and showcased their work in an impressive final presentation under the slogan “Through their art, women express the poetry of life.”
The Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) congratulated the students and institute members on their success.

14th Anniversary of the Rojava Revolution

Kurdistan Koçer, a member of the YPJ Military Council, sends her greetings on the occasion of the anniversary of the Rojava Revolution, that spread like a wave beginning on July 19, 2012. Kurdistan Koçer has been at the forefront of the revolution from the very beginning and offers a glimpse into its early days—both the difficulties and the unforgettable moments of joy. She emphasizes that now is the time to take responsibility for this very spark of the revolution and for the YPJ, so that women can take their rightful place in a new Syria with a new constitution.

The July 19 Revolution: A Global Model

"The Rojava Revolution, which began on 19 July 2012, was presented to the world as a vision and conviction in free life. During the years that became known as the Spring of Peoples, authoritarian regimes responded to every demand for rights and freedom with repression and violence, seeking to exploit those movements for their own interests. In Rojava, however, the peoples of the region made a choice that changed their destiny."
