one more kendall roy from long ago

the coloring in this is unintentionally symbolic of their personalities because in the first frame the markers are dogshit old and crusty and i tried to revive them with alcohol which failed miserably but in the second one it's all smooth and well-ordered. #much to think about

an emotionally volatile academic desperately pursues their place in life, courts their various romantic interests through multiple languages, wits and poetry, yearns for the beauty of subtropical paradise, and struggles with getting over anything. am i talking about myself or a certain ukrainian modernist classic? i guess we'll never know...
