there's a somehow even fuckin simpler dupe glitch that involves needing a thing that's a sizable story spoiler but otherwise works identically.
tl:dw; you just hop on your glider, hit pause, grab five of whatever you wanna dupe, hit B+Y simultaneously, repeat.
carpetboming hyrule from the sky with diamonds to destablize the local economy and buy up land on the cheap
i haven't seen a single technical breakdown on why all these dupe glitches work, but i've watched enough tomatoanus to take an educated guess.
basically items in your hand are new entities and they're not removed from inventory till you exit the menu, however the game relies on needing to take the things from whatever slots they occupied in the inventory. when you hit Y, (or with the last dupe where you started with an item you had one of [i believe the game removes things in order]), the slot changes and it can't remove the thing now, however the items already exist in your hands. and since you can't actually hold things while gliding they just fall immediately.

the bow fuse item dupe that you had to do one at a time and required frame perfect pauses was a slightly different thing as far as i can tell, but it's old fuckin news at this point because this new tech is so dead simple
