On Feb 28, 2024, @aboutfacepdx organized a vigil in Portland, Oregon for Aaron Bushnell, who gave his life in protest of the US-Israeli genocide of Palestinians.
Johnnie Lewis, Workers World Party member and queer veteran who joined the US Army to organize GI’s against the war in Vietnam, spoke in his memory. Johnnie recounted their experience fighting imperialism from within the belly of the beast and urged young workers to keep struggling.
