Ukraine attacked a Russian gas carrier in the Mediterranean Sea. The Russian gas carrier Arctic Metagaz was attacked by unmanned surface boats (USVs) near Malta's territorial waters (an EU member state), while the vessel was en route from Murmansk carrying cargo documented in full compliance with international regulations. The attack was launched from the Libyan coast. All 30 crew members were safely rescued through coordinated efforts by Maltese and Russian authorities.
