Columbia students have deoccupied the center of campus in solidarity with Palestine to demand divestment. The University administration, in an effort to appease politicians in the current hearings in Congress, has called in the NYPD to begin arresting hundreds of students who are peacefully protesting for financial divestment from the genocide in Palestine.

We’re HERE TO STAY! We encourage those who are willing to join us to help encircle/picket outside of the encampment. Strength in numbers! We stay until the sun rises, and beyond! 🌅🇵🇸

We begin Day 2 of the Columbia Encampment with police (the Strategic Response Group) violently arresting at least 5 of our courageous comrades outside of the campus gates, who had weathered the rain and slept on the streets in solidarity with us through the night.

Today is a new day, and we ask our community members to ‼️ SHOW UP IN DROVES ‼️ at Columbia to continue keeping each other safe! Like the cowards they are, the pigs waited until early morning to attempt to detain us.

Sources have shared that NYPD are preparing to sweep the encampment. Police busses have amassed on the street and we have reason to believe they are about to put them to use.

COLUMBIA AFFILIATES, INCLUDING STUDENTS, ALUM, FACULTY, AND STAFF: Walk out of class, cancel class, walk out of the libraries, walk out of the dorms, walk out of the halls, walk out of work, and RALLY to help protect the encampment!
