Is Block-chain Secure?

- Block-chain technology achieves decentralized security and trust in several ways. To begin with, new blocks are always stored linearly and chronologically. That is, they are always added to the “end” of the block-chain. After a block has been added to the end of the block-chain, previous blocks cannot be changed.
- A change in any data changes the hash of the block it was in. Because each block contains the previous block's hash, a change in one would change the following blocks. The network would reject an altered block because the hashes would not match.

Create new account
You will need an Email Address to setup login.

Public Stellar Address: | Auto Assigned
- A string that's 56 characters starting with 'G'

Create a federation address: | Optional
- Personalized, both will navigate to your wallet.

Secret keys:
- A string that's 56 characters starting with 'S' | Main key to your funds
Seed Phrase, Passwords need to be stored offline in a safe place.
NEVER SHARE SECRET KEYS OR SEED PHRASE with ANYONE.

Add XLM to Fund your newly created wallet to unlock trading options.

HOW TO ADD A TRUST LINE

Lobstr wallet allows a maximum of 1,000 trust lines.
- Each trust line requires a reserve of 0.5 XLM.

BY ASSET CODE:
*Using one device
1 Go to Lobstr’s homepage and select Home.
- Next screen will show My assets.
- Tap on the + icon on the top right corner and enter Asset Code in search box.
- Tap done when ready.
2 Search through list for the correct asset.
WARNING: Scammers create copycat tokens to appear authentic.
- Before adding an asset
Always verify the assets you are adding Issuing Address matches your vetted sources.
3 Tap the Add Asset button and trust line will now be listed under My assets.

BY QR CODE:
1 Take a picture of the Asset’s QR code.
2 Go to Lobstr’s homepage and select Home.
Next screen will show My assets.
Tap on the scan icon on the top right corner.
3 Select the picture icon on the bottom right corner.
Select asset from your gallery and tap on it.
Next screen will show Add New Asset.
Tap Sign Transaction, Confirm and Proceed, and then Add Asset.
Trust line will now be listed under My assets.

Using two devices
1 Display on your computer screen the QR code of the asset you wish to add.
2 Go to Lobstr’s homepage on your phone and select Home.
Next screen will show My assets.
Tap on the scan icon on the top right corner.
3 Scan the QR code shown on your computer’s screen.
Asset will now be shown on Add New Asset screen on your phone.
Tap Sign Transaction, Confirm and Proceed, and then Add Asset.
Trust line will now be listed under My assets.

How Do I Cancel a Buy/Trade Order? 🤑

HOW TO DO A TRADE BUY/SELL ORDER

1 Tap on the Trade feature in the side menu on Lobstr’s homepage.
- This will bring up a trading pair of XLM(Lumens) and USD Coin.
- Tap on the option Trade Custom Pair. You can now select the asset you wish to sell.
- Select XLM in the box to the left and the asset you wish to buy in the box to the right.
- You will need to add the trust line of the asset you wish to buy if it is not currently in your wallet.
2 Select Sell and it will bring you to a screen where you can set your order.
- Limit
+ This allows you to set your own custom price
+ Limit orders require 0.5 XLM to open the order until closed/filled.
- Market
+ Automatically sends the the order at the current market price
+ Additional fee's maybe included in the price. Slippage tolerance is factored in
+ If available supply has dropped into circulation this will completely fill the order based on current market rating
3 Fill in the amount of XLM you wish to sell.
- Confirm your order details and tap the BUY/Sell XLM button when ready.
Note:
If you already have the asset trust line setup in your wallet
You can navigate to the asset’s trust line and tap on the Trade option.
This will bring you to the Trade screen where you can fill out your order.

How Do I Cancel a Buy/Trade Order?

1 Go On the asset or select trade on side menu.
2 Click the clock top right to see your active orders
3 Click on the ones you want to cancel and select cancel order.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR WALLET IS COMPROMISED

Your Stellar Secret Key have gone into the wind.
The security of your lobstr wallet has now been compromised.
Here's what you do:

Set up a New Wallet ASAP.
1 Create a new lobstr wallet.
- Make sure the 12 Recovery Words / Secret Key / Passwords are all handwritten down and stored safe.
- Never screenshot these valuable security measures.
- Never store a digital copy.
- Never send these over networks. Via texts, emails, messengers, telegrams, bots
2 Fund your new wallet with enough XLM to create new trust lines.
- You can establish your trust lines prior to sending assets
This will avoid claiming pending transactions.
3 Transfer each asset into new wallet.
- This can be done by pasting new stellar address into the
- Send To box or by scanning new QR code for new wallet.
4 Once your asset has been successfully transferred into your new wallet,
- Delete each trust line in your compromised wallet.
The 0.5 xlm wil be deposited back into your xlm reserves.
5 Capture any wallet details of the scammers activity. View network details by using stellar.expert
6 Screen shot any transactions you want to keep a record of for future redemption purposes.

Two Factor Authentication | Optional

SETTING UP 2FA
2FA offers a layer of protection for your wallet.
1 Go to Lobstr’s homepage and select settings.
- Tap on security.
2 Tap on Two-factor authentication and click on Get Started.
3 Write down and store your backup key shown.
- Press and copy the 16 key and tap continue when ready.
4 Read through directions on Authentication App screen.
- Tap continue when ready.
- Download and install an authenticator app from either App Store or Google Play.
- Write down and save the one-time password shown.
Once app is set up and generating a 6 digit number,
- Return to Lobstr.
5 Return to Enable 2-Factor Authentication screen
Type in Lobstr password,
2FA backup key,
One-time password.
- Tap enable 2FA.

STELLAR SECRET KEY

The secret key represents private information
- This is used to encrypt data and sign transactions on the Stellar Network.

It proves that you own your stellar account and gives full access to your funds.
- Secret key should NEVER be shared with anyone
- Never entered on a website that is not recommended by Stellar.
- NEVER screenshot or store your secret key on your phone or computer.
Write it down and keep in a safe place.

How to find transaction:

- Copy your GString (Public Address, Starts with a 'G')
Enter it into the search box on main page. 🔍
- On 'History' tab you will see Transactions made on your wallet.
At the top there a button ➕ Add filter
( Example filter types:
Asset, Account, Date Time, Operation Type, etc )
After filtering your transactions and finding the line item.
- Click on the timestamp link
( example: 2024-07-17 11:11:17 UTC )

New window displays all the transnational data available on the network.
- This is the receipt of the transaction on the network. ✍️
- This data is super helpful for developers to troubleshoot.
