The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, showed through social networks his disagreement with the decision taken by the Comptroller General of the Republic to ratify the political disqualification of the candidate for the opposition primaries, María Corina Machado.
In a response to a question made by the journalist Sebastián Nohra, the Colombian president expressed that the administrative authorities should not take away the political rights of citizens.
"It is clear that no administrative authority should take away political rights from any citizen," he replied, referring to the action taken against Machado
