Detained Sidor workers will be presented before a terrorism court in Caracas

So far the charges are unknown.

Provea said that "the union is on strike at the Pellas Plant to demand better wages and restitution of benefits." He also assured that "the workers denounced that the state company cut their electricity and suspended water, food and transportation services after their demands."

. National Assembly announces that it will designate a new CNE, despite the fact that the opposition rectors have not resigned from their posts:
HRW alerted that Maduro seeks to co-opt the CNE and affect the primary with the resignation of rectors

The director for the Americas of the non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch, Juanita Goebertus, warned this Thursday that the decision to modify the composition of the electoral body could affect the opposition primaries scheduled for the month of October, as well as the fundamental reforms for guarantee the right to vote and citizen and political participation.

In a message posted on his Twitter account, Gouebertus described it as a "very dangerous move by the government to control the National Electoral Council." For this reason, he asked the presidents of Colombia and Brazil, Gustavo Petro and Luis Inácio Lula Da Silva, respectively, to use his closeness to Nicolás Maduro to stop the maneuver he is attempting.
Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez held a meeting with the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, to discuss issues of binational interest.

Da Rosa, who is a lawyer and politician, was received by the Head of State at the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-06-16/venezuela-opposition-shuns-electoral-authority-for-its-primaries

"Venezuela’s main opposition groups said they will organize their own presidential primaries independently of the electoral authority when they select a candidate to try to defeat President Nicolás Maduro next year.

The decision to sideline the electoral body means the opposition will have to fund the process itself, and secure access to hundreds of polling centers across the country by October".

The reason why this happens is because former authorities of National Electoral Council (CNE) were removed by the pro-regime parliament.

This is important, as the current week had a rude debate about having primary elections with the support of CNE supported by candidates like Manuel Rosales, or the opposite idea defended by María Corina Machado, arguing that venezuelan regime could affect the results.
