Engineering College Warns of Uninhabitable or High-Risk Conditions in 2,000 Structures

The College of Engineers of Venezuela (CIV) reported that it has inspected more than 8,000 structures in Caracas since the earthquakes that occurred on June 24, as part of efforts to assess the habitability of buildings, detect structural failures, and provide recommendations to communities and authorities.

Through a press release, the organization indicated that more than 70% of the buildings inspected were classified as habitable, while approximately 25%, about two thousand, were classified as "habitable with caution" or "uninhabitable."
