In front of the Chavista National Assembly building today, January 10, a united group of family members, friends, and human rights defenders raised their voices to demand that the Amnesty Law be an instrument of true justice.

The message is clear: they will not accept a measure that discriminates against victims. They advocate for a law that is inclusive and that guarantees the absolute freedom of all those detained for political reasons in Venezuela.

After years of injustice, torture, and family separations, the cry in the streets is singular: that the benefit reach every single one of those currently behind bars for thinking differently.
