⚠️🇻🇪🇻🇪 Attorney General Tarek William Saab announced early Monday that the Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the revocation of the precautionary measure granted to political leader Juan Pablo Guanipa before the competent court.

According to Saab, the decision is based on the alleged non-compliance with the conditions imposed by the judicial body at the time of his release.

In the document, the Public Prosecutor's Office emphasizes that the disregard of these obligations empowers the justice system to "revoke or replace the previously granted measure". For this reason, the prosecution has formally requested that the leader be placed under house arrest.

A freedom that lasted less than 24 hours

The announcement of the Public Prosecutor's Office has generated a strong reaction in public opinion, given that Juan Pablo Guanipa had been released from prison less than 24 hours earlier.

Around midnight, the entourage of the leader of Primero Justicia denounced an irregular situation that they described as a "kidnapping". According to a post made from Guanipa's official account by his son, Ramón, the politician was intercepted and taken by a group of approximately 10 unidentified armed individuals.

2. Maintain constant denunciation until the release of all political prisoners and amplify the voices of those who remain detained.

3. Denounce the irregularities of the Amnesty Law and demand its full and unrestricted application.

4. Propose an international visit by the IACHR to Venezuela as a sign of support for victims and human rights defenders.

5. Request a new updated report on the situation of the country.

6. Continue promoting the necessary measures until the violations cease
