The Tenerife Council officially recognized María Corina Machado following the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize, highlighting her leadership as a symbol of the peaceful struggle for freedom and fundamental rights in Venezuela. In an institutional agreement, the corporation emphasized her role as a “democratic reference” and expressed solidarity with the Venezuelan community residing in the islands, affected by the country’s political and humanitarian crisis.

The institution stressed that the award is not only a personal recognition but a political and moral statement that reinforces the legitimacy of those who nonviolently confront the Venezuelan authoritarian regime. From the Canary Islands, where a large Venezuelan community resides, the Council praised Machado’s courage and consistency, whose trajectory inspires those who believe democracy is won with perseverance and firm principles.

🇻🇪 Cruel treatment of political prisoners denounced in Yare II: hunger, beatings, and threats to families

The Comité para la Liberación de los Presos Políticos en Venezuela (CLIPPVE) issued an urgent alert after receiving reports of cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment at the Yare II penitentiary center.

According to testimonies, inmates suffer from hunger due to the scarcity and poor quality of the food provided, and they rely almost entirely on the food their families manage to deliver every 15 days.

Family members also reported beatings and threats by officials, who allegedly try to silence the complaints. CLIPPVE warned that these practices violate the Constitution, international law, and the Mandela Rules, and urged the Public Ministry, the Ombudsman, and international organizations to intervene immediately to protect the lives and integrity of political prisoners.

🇻🇪🇻🇪🇺🇸 — Rafael Lacava, the Chavista governor of Carabobo state and close ally of Nicolás Maduro, unleashed an erratic rant at a military gathering in Valencia

❗️ Flanked by uniformed personnel, he railed against "traitors" and "imperialists," vowing eternal victory for the regime despite U.S. sanctions targeting the "Cartel of the Suns"—the alleged drug-trafficking network implicating top Venezuelan officials, including Lacava himself.

➡️ The speech, a direct response to recent U.S. operations like the sinking of narco-submarines tied to the cartel, echoed Maduro's defiance of "aggression."

"We will triumph forever, wherever, against whoever," insisting "Venezuela is doomed to success... This glorious, brave people has decided it." He derided opponents as "condoms" and "bandits desperate for cash," while highlighting his ties to Diosdado Cabello and drug routes through Puerto Cabello.

— I wish I could tell you that this video was made by AI. There is this video of communal integration in Naguanagua with the presence of Alex Saab and Rafael Lacava, on the same day. The regime's hallmarks are cognitive decay.

🇺🇸🇻🇪Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has called on Trump for a "military escalation," considering it the only way to overthrow Maduro, reports The Latin Times.

"Increasing pressure and escalating the conflict is the only way to make Maduro understand that it is time for him to go and to facilitate a peaceful and orderly transfer of power," said the Venezuelan opposition leader.

She promises that "hundreds of thousands" of people are ready to protest "when the right moment comes."

Earlier, Trump did not answer whether the US plans to take any military action against Venezuela but said that "Maduro's days are numbered."
