On Tuesday, September 23, seven officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), including a division general, a lieutenant colonel, and a first lieutenant, were detained, accused of treason, crimes against the security of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), disobedience, and offenses against military decorum.

The detentions were carried out in compliance with orders No. 235-2025 to 241-2025, issued on September 22 by the Third Control Court of the Military Criminal Judicial Circuit, headed by Major Jonnathan Guanchez Sojo, 3rd Military Control Judge.

According to sources reported to Monitoreamos, the arrested officers are:

- GD Orlando López Romero, ID V-11,916,416, commander of the GNB Zone Command-61 (Delta Amacuro).

- Lt. Col. Neptaly Durán Freiber, ID V-14,068,307, commander of DCR-61-2.

- 1st Lt. José Daniel Piña Ponce, ID V-29,712,550, commander of PAC “La Horqueta”.
