Maduro offers help to Trump to capture members of the Tren de Aragua
President Nicolás Maduro offered to collaborate with the Donald Trump administration in locating the most wanted leaders of the Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan criminal organization with presence in several countries in America.
According to Bloomberg:
* The proposal was delivered to the U.S. envoy Richard Grenell and accompanied by a direct letter to Trump.
* Maduro denied that Venezuela is a major source of drugs destined for the U.S.
* The Tren de Aragua is linked to crimes such as extortion, human trafficking, drug and arms trafficking, prostitution, illegal mining, robbery, and kidnapping.
* Although some leaders operate outside the country, the Venezuelan Constitution prohibits the extradition of national citizens, limiting the ability to hand over group members from Venezuela.
* Washington has detained hundreds of alleged members in the U.S., with some sent to prisons in El Salvador.
