Buenos Aires, January 9, 2025. - The Office of the President expresses its extreme concern over the criminal attack by the Chavista regime against the democratic leader María Corina Machado in Venezuela, while she was attending a legitimate protest in Chacao.

In an operation reminiscent of the worst dictatorships in history, agents of Maduro's regime fired on her security detail and allegedly abducted her violently in front of thousands of demonstrators. Her team reports that they have lost communication with her.

One day before the inauguration of President-elect Edmundo González, dictator Nicolás Maduro demonstrates his strength by attacking the foremost advocate for a free and democratic Venezuela.

President Javier Milei calls on the other governments of the region to condemn the attack against Corina Machado and demand the end of the socialist regime that has plunged millions of Venezuelans into poverty, exile, or dependency on the dictatorship's handouts, creating a true hell on earth.
