Vice President Delcy Rodríguez on Tuesday dismissed the possible results of the presidential elections in the United States, claiming that the North American country is opting for “interventionism” and “fascism,” regardless of its president.

“It makes no difference who wins the election, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, because the policy of domination towards the rest of the countries is one and the same,” Rodríguez said in his speech.

The government has raided another prison in Venezuela, within the framework of Operation Great Chief Guaicaipuro. During the operation, which was carried out on Tuesday, November 5, more than three thousand police and military officers entered the Eastern Penitentiary Center, known as El Dorado Prison, in Bolívar. Seventeen pranes were arrested there, in addition to weapons and drugs being seized.

The newspaper Últimas Noticias reported on the capture of the leaders of the gang, who were accused of maintaining a criminal structure dedicated to drug trafficking and subjecting the inmate population to charges for family visits, transportation to courts, and phone calls, among other things.

Agents also seized 400 cell phones, satellite internet antennas, 200 meters of cable and routers, Una Ventana a la Libertad adds.

International court to launch external investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Karim Khan

The International Criminal Court (ICC) will launch an external investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against its chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, keeping alive a case that the court's internal watchdog closed just days ago.

Karim Khan has categorically denied allegations that he tried to force a female aide into a sexual relationship with him. Moreover, these claims come amid reports of an ongoing Israeli intelligence campaign to discredit the prosecution of Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged war crimes in Gaza.

In a report shared by the AP, it was also learned that the external investigation was approved this week following a meeting of the court's supervisory body, the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute.
