Here is something I can speak about with expertise, having worked at utilities in support roles and taken an interest in their operations.

Historically speaking, bad water was the number one or number two killer of humans.  Read accounts from the 19th century. Dysentery and Cholera killed somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000-200,000 people in Crimea alone.
It was the leading cause of death in the War of Northern Agression.
The fact that 99.9% of Americans had reliably clean water was an astonishing civilizational achievement.

We are going to go back to a world where toddlers shit themselves to death because we couldn't be mean to Jews, browns, perverts and women.


Getting a reliable source of clean water is extremely difficult. It must be taken seriously again, or millions will sicken and die.
