A serial sex offender who was being monitored by the Metropolitan Police has been found guilty of murdering two women and raping a third in London.
Simon Levy killed Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, in March 2025 and 39-year-old Sheryl Wilkins five months later.
The 40-year-old also raped a third woman in January 2025, before the murders, in the same Tottenham car park where Wilkins was later found dead.
During his trial at the Old Bailey, jurors heard Levy had a string of convictions for attacking women dating back to July 2018, including one carried out against a prison officer in 2022.
The Met, British Transport Police and Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) have all admitted failings in how they dealt with Levy, who was on bail as his attacks on women escalated to double murder.

A search has been launched for a child rapist who escaped while on 'escorted community leave' in Perth city centre.

Her brutally murdered body was then found in a suitcase in an abandoned warehouse.
The man accused of killing Lisa is Sharif Ahmadzai, a 26-year-old who was born in Afghanistan and arrived in Greece as a refugee when he was 15.
He has an American wife and converted to Christianity before setting up a charity to help refugees.
The police union who later told the media that officers arrested Ahmadzai after his wife provided them with "key" and "decisive" details placing her husband and Lisa at the same apartment on 15 July.
She told police that she and her husband met Lisa - while volunteering for a refugee charity in Athens in February.
We were also told Ahmadzai denies homicide with intent - equivalent to a murder charge in Scotland - but admits moving the body, claiming he did so because he feared he would be blamed for her death.
