A former prison officer has been jailed after admitting a sexual relationship with an inmate.
Alicia Novas, 20, worked at HMP Five Wells in Wellingborough where she became involved with Declan Winkless and brought cannabis into prison.
Novas, from Raunds, admitted six offences including misconduct in public office, and was given a three-year jail sentence at Northampton Crown Court.

A criminal defence solicitor who paid 13-year-old girls for explicit photographs and sexually abused them has been jailed for nine years and nine months at Leeds Crown Court today.
Suleman Baig, 40 and of Grimsby, not only abused the young girls, but attempted to pervert the course of justice by trying to pressure them into withdrawing their accusations against him.
Baig paid the girls hundreds of pounds for explicit images – leaving cash stuffed in toilet rolls in the family home – and progressed to sexually abusing them on around 20 separate occasions, telling one young victim to ‘think about vegetables’ to distract herself as he abused her.

Harley Drew, 31, and Mitchell Thomas, 25, both of Burnet Close, Haydon Wick, have been charged with three counts of making indecent images of children, while Thomas has also been charged with possession of prohibited images of a child.
It is alleged that Drew made 156 Category A images - the most serious - between September 7, 2023 and April 7, 2025.
