As children around the world cheer on their favourite teams at the #WorldCup, 9-year-old Anas is doing the same in #Gaza.

For Anas, it’s more challenging than in most other places; watching football depends on finding an internet connection, enough power to charge a phone, and a safe place to watch the game.

Anas and his family are sheltering in an UNRWA school, where a classroom has become their temporary home.

Anas continues to hold on to his dreams of becoming a professional football player and a doctor.

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in safety, to learn, to play, and simply be a child.

Looking after the environmental health is a part of everyday life.

Across the occupied #WestBank, UNRWA supports waste management, water quality monitoring and infrastructure maintenance in Palestine Refugee camps.

From April to June alone, UNRWA removed over 10,000 tonnes of solid waste from camps.

Sanitation is dignity. 

In #Gaza, UNRWA sanitation teams work tirelessly to contain a growing sanitation crisis, controlling rodent and insect outbreaks and promoting good hygiene and safe water practices. 

These efforts help protect families and reduce serious public health risks in overcrowded shelters and displacement sites.
