The same thing happened to the entire East Wing of the White House. Demolished to create a ballroom paid by the taxpayers, 6 floors of underground bunkers, complete with suspicious medical experimentation center, medical center, who knows what else. None of it was approved. Didn't matter.

We are paying for it all. Whether we like it or not.
