President Donald Trump said on Sunday his tariff policy was aimed at promoting the domestic manufacturing of tanks and technology products, not sneakers and T-shirts.

Speaking to reporters before boarding Air Force One in New Jersey, Trump said he agreed with comments from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on April 29 that the US does not necessarily need a “booming textile industry” – comments that drew criticism from the National Council of Textile Organizations.

“We’re not looking to make sneakers and T-shirts. We want to make military equipment. We want to make big things. We want to make, do the AI thing,”

Trump said.

“I’m not looking to make T-shirts, to be honest. I’m not looking to make socks. We can do that very well in other locations. We are looking to do chips and computers and lots of other things, and tanks and ships,”

Access was openly sold based on how much money they chipped in — not to a campaign account but to a business that benefits Mr. Trump personally.

The Make America Healthy Again report concludes that chronic diseases in children and adolescents are primarily caused by processed foods and supplements, environmental toxins, and lack of physical activity. In addition, the danger allegedly coming from vaccination is mentioned.

Scholar Guohua Li from Columbia University, he said that the quote attributed to him in the report is "completely made up". Epidemiologist Catherine Keyes also said that she did not write the article mentioned in the ministerial report. Where the data attributed to her might have come from, she doesn't know. Some links, including an article in the scientific journal Jama, lead nowhere, according to AFP.

Trump's Democratic opponents criticized the report as "full of misinformation." The Ministry of Health, they say, is trying to "justify its political priorities" with the help of fake research.
