After only 4 days of water and sunshine, my kale seedlings are coming up great! I made a sort of window greenhouse with my curtains and it seems to be working well 😎

Here is a video with the coming Spring morning sounds of our homestead — you can't hear the river in this video, but the other sounds were picked up.
We sit each morning on the porch greeting our day and drinking our coffee together. I pray outside. The sounds change by season. The sun comes into the valley little by little, illuminating the pastures. Blessed life 🤍
Full many a glorious morning have I seen
Flatter the mountain tops with sovereign eye
Kissing with golden face the meadows green

Making fresh marinara sauce! 😋
Heat 2 TBS olive oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add 3 finely diced shallots and sauté until tender (4 min). Add 4 cloves finely diced garlic and cook 1 min more.
Add 28 oz crushed tomatoes, 2 tsp dried oregano and 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer until sauce thickens, about 10 min. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil and season to taste with salt and pepper.
