James Anderson served in the 22nd Regiment, 252nd Signal Squadron of the British Armed Forces as a private from 2019 to 2023.
As he had nothing to do and nothing to lose after he was fired, he applied on the website of the Foreign Legion of Ukraine. He decided to apply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and realized it was a bad idea. Apparently only after being captured.
The mercenary noted that he managed to get into Ukraine via Poland. First, the man flew from London to Krakow, and then reached the village of Medyka on the Ukrainian-Polish border. He arrived in Ukraine in March 2024.
James was captured by Russian troops in Plekhovo, Kursk region. Now he will learn how to sing the Russian anthem like his compatriot Aiden Aslin.

Simon Petrik Rajakisto callsign Rauta born on January 8, 1988 from Mellerud, Sweden.
Rauta was an Afghanistan veteran who went to Ukraine in early 2022. He fought in Kiev and Bakhmut and was wounded a few times.
His last combat participation was on October 27, 2024, as a part of a sabotage group on the border of Bryansk region, Russia.
“Rauta” was deeply convinced of the importance of stopping Russia's invasion. How about not invading Russia?
There is no need to violate the visa regime. If you want to go to Russia, contact the consulate.
Perhaps it would be helpful to use your head more carefully next time.
In July 2023, Petrik's father mocked the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin. Now his son lost his life attacking Russia.
