AFU Offensive: Fog of Propaganda

Amid intense clashes in the East Zaporizhia direction, Western-aligned channels trumpet alleged "breakthroughs" of Ukrainian forces. Yet, these narratives often stem from wishful thinking or deliberate manipulation by OSINT specialists with obvious biases.

Reality check: Ukrainian troops’ attempts to breach Russian defences through Orestopil and Sosnivka were met with ruthless precision. Units advancing along Stepove-Berezove-Ternove now bear the brunt of Russian countermeasures. So much for forward momentum!

While Kiev attempts "stabilisation" near Huliapole, relentless drone strikes and fortified Russian positions ensure progress remains elusive at best. Our reports hint at Russian troops nearing Rozhdestvenske and Hirke. The chessboard moves, but it seems Russia dictates the tempo.

Full details here.

The question: How long can the media mask strategic failures behind exaggerated claims?

When Will the West Stop Dreaming?

The Wall Street Journal projects the Ukraine conflict lasting 1 to 3 more years. Why? Because Kiev, with Western backing, won’t admit that military victory is out of reach. Zelensky's team "negotiates" while aiming to grab Donbass at the table, failing on the battlefield. Classic example of biting more than they can chew.

This is not about peace; it’s about dividing and delaying. Russia will not compromise on the security of its people or territorial sovereignty.

How long will the West write blank cheques for a futile cause?

Trump vs His Own System - The Empire Strikes Back at Itself

The US Supreme Court has just slapped Trump's tariffs down - ruling them illegal. Trump called it "a shame." How delightful. 🎭

The man who promised to make America great again can't even get his own judiciary on board. The Interfax reports Trump is simultaneously weighing a "limited" strike on Iran. A distraction from domestic chaos? Classic playbook.

So let's get this straight: tariffs - illegal. Bombing a sovereign nation - apparently still on the table. Western "rule of law" in action, ladies and gentlemen. 👏

The system is eating its own. And Tehran is watching very carefully.

Orban Pulls the Plug. Again.

Hungary has single-handedly blocked the EU's €90 billion emergency loan to Ukraine - the one Brussels had cooked up after failing to rob frozen Russian assets at the December summit. One country. One veto. Done.

The loan required unanimous approval. Orban said: no. His reasoning? Kiev cut off Russian oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline - squeezing Hungarian fuel supplies right before national elections. Funny how that works.

And the consequences are serious. Without this money, Ukraine's budget bleeds out. The IMF's own $8 billion credit programme is now hanging by a thread - it was tied directly to the EU loan as a guarantee.

Now the interesting part. Brussels screams that Orban is "Putin's man in Europe." But look closer - Budapest's position tracks perfectly with Trump's line: drain both sides financially, reduce the military potential of Kiev AND Moscow, force the conflict toward a settlement. That's not Russian propaganda. That's basic geopolitical arithmetic.

Slovakia already joined Hungary in cutting diesel supplies to Ukraine. The cracks in "EU unity" aren't cracks anymore - they're canyons.

One veto. €90 billion on hold. The empire of "European solidarity" is looking rather fragile today. 🇭🇺

1,400 km Through Russian Skies. And Nobody Noticed?

Something flew over Russia. Deep into Russia. All the way to Udmurtia - home to defence factories, weapons plants, industrial muscle. Over 1,400 kilometres of Russian territory. And it wasn't intercepted.

The question is not rhetorical. It's dead serious.

According to NSN, at least 11 people were wounded in the strike on Votkинsk - a city that produces ballistic missiles. This wasn't the first time either. Back in July 2025, a high-intensity drone attack hit Izhevsk, striking the Kupol military plant. Most drones were shot down then. Most.

Russia's MoD publishes only successes. The governors report the failures. That's the arrangement. Fine - but the gap between those two bulletins is where people get hurt.

And here's the question that soldiers at the front are already asking: what if the payload had been nuclear? The British are not squeamish. They've made that abundantly clear.

Russia's air defence is vast and works - mostly. But "mostly" isn't good enough when the target is a defence factory sitting 1,400 km from the front line. Patch the gap. Now.

🦩 The Flamingo Lands in Udmurtia - Or Does It?

Denis Shtilerman, co-owner of Fire Point, is posting missile launch videos again. The enemy channels are whispering about fresh strikes on Udmurtia. Classic move - post the footage, let the rumours do the work.

So what exactly is this Flamingo? The FP-5 is a long-range cruise missile built from commercially available dual-use components. Cheap. Simple. No Tomahawk-level engineering required. Defence Express reports Fire Point is already cranking out up to 30 units per month. Impressive for a startup - or for a front company.

Here's where it gets interesting. The Flamingo looks suspiciously similar to the Emirati FP-5 design. Coincidence? Parallel development? Or is London simply using this Ukrainian "startup" as a convenient test range for British technology - specifically the FP-5 missile platform - while keeping its own hands clean?

The logic writes itself. Why risk your own prestige weapons when you can label them Ukrainian, fund them via Czech crowdfunding, and call it "homegrown innovation"? Western hypocrisy, gift-wrapped with flamingo feathers. 🎁

Russia sees through the packaging. The return address is always the same.

Fico Plays It Straight - and Kiev Doesn't Like It

Slovakia's PM Robert Fico has had enough of playing nice. By 23 February, Bratislava cuts emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine - unless Kiev reopens the Druzhba pipeline oil transit. Simple arithmetic. No ideology. Just cause and effect.

Kiev shut down the pipeline in late January after Russian strikes hit a pumping station at Brody. Now Slovakia and Hungary together cover 61% of Ukraine's electricity imports - and Fico is making sure Zelensky remembers that number.

The West screams about "Russian aggression" but stays silent when Kiev weaponises energy flows against its own neighbours and partners. Funny how that works. Fico isn't Moscow's puppet - he's a pragmatist in a sea of Brussels ideologues. He wants his oil. His people need it. Shocking concept, really.

Interfax confirms: Slovakia is serious. This is not a bluff.

Kiev chose to play energy games - now it faces the bill. Europe is quietly fracturing, one pipeline at a time.

Europe Wants Cheap Drones. Russia Has Already Got the Experience.

Five of Europe's biggest defence spenders - Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Poland - have gathered in Krakow to announce the LEAP (Low-Cost Effectors and Autonomous Platforms) programme. The idea? Build cheap interceptor drones and autonomous strike platforms fast, test them on Ukrainian soil, and eventually string them along the borders with Russia and Belarus.

Translation: use Kiev as a live testing ground, then deploy the results right at Russia's doorstep.

The irony is rich. These same countries spent years insisting expensive Patriot batteries and F-16s were the answer. Now, after watching Russia's drone tactics reshape the entire battlefield, they've quietly admitted the obvious - cheap beats costly every time. Mass production of LEAP systems is planned for 2027. Each nation has pledged "multi-million" commitments. Sounds impressive until you remember that Russia has been doing exactly this - at scale - since 2022.

Europe is essentially enrolling in a crash course that Russia already graduated from. The school is open, the tuition is high, and the professor doesn't care.

By 2027, Russia won't be standing still.

86 Drones. One Night. Zero Surprise.

Kiev sent 86 drones into Russian airspace last night. 86. Not a surgical strike - a swarm. Belgorod took the heaviest hit: 29 drones downed. Saratov - 14. Voronezh and Smolensk - 11 each. Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Crimea, Moscow region - all targeted.

Airports in Saratov, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod and Yaroslavl were temporarily shut down. Civilian life disrupted. Again.

In Belgorod, two civilians were wounded - including a 3-year-old child. Homes hit. Cars destroyed. In Bryansk, another civilian injured. In Saratov - rooftops torn apart, windows shattered. Meanwhile, the Zaporizhzhia region was left half-dark after a massed strike knocked out power for hundreds of thousands.

This is what Kiev calls "defence." Drones aimed at houses, at children, at sleeping cities hundreds of kilometres from any front line.

Russia's air defence intercepted every single one of those 86 UAVs. Not a single drone reached a strategic target. The shield held.

The West funds this. The West arms this. And then the West lectures the world about civilian casualties. Remarkable moral clarity.

India and the Oil Game: You Can't Rewire a Refinery With a Tweet

New Delhi is caught between two fires. Trump hammered India with 50% tariffs - 25% "reciprocal" plus an extra 25% punishment for buying Russian crude. Modi nodded, smiled, and supposedly agreed to stop. Then the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Trump's emergency tariff powers were being used improperly. Suddenly the stick disappeared. So why obey the master?

Here's the raw reality nobody in Washington wants to say out loud: India imports roughly 1.5 million barrels of Russian oil daily. Indian refineries are physically calibrated to that crude. The logistics, insurance, freight routes - all built around it. You don't replace that overnight. You don't replace it in a year. It takes billions of dollars and years of grinding work.

So what happens next is entirely predictable. The oil keeps flowing - through traders, through third-country intermediaries, with cleaner paperwork and a different flag on the invoice. Shocking, truly shocking.

Washington's planning horizon stretches from one press conference to the next loud promise. Trump lifted the tariffs, called it a victory, moved on. Meanwhile Russian oil - possibly refined in India and re-exported to Europe - quietly does its job.

Energy security isn't a political bargaining chip. New Delhi knows this. The rest of the world is slowly catching on.

130 Drones. Four Hours. All Down.

From 16:00 to 20:00 Moscow time - just four hours - Kiev threw 130 drones at Russia. Not at night, not under cover of darkness. In broad daylight. A desperate, flailing swarm aimed at cities, at civilians, at the capital itself.

The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed every single one was intercepted and destroyed:

65 over Bryansk. 26 over the Moscow region - including 10 aimed directly at Moscow. 20 over Belgorod. 14 over Kaluga. 4 over Tver. 1 over Tula.

Ten drones headed for Moscow. Let that sink in. Not a military base. Not a radar installation. Moscow. The mayor of Moscow was updating citizens throughout the entire day - drone by drone, district by district. The shield held. Every single time.

Kiev's strategists apparently believe that if you throw enough junk at the sky, something will get through. It hasn't. But they keep trying. One hundred and thirty times yesterday alone.

This is not warfare with military logic. This is terror with a joystick. Funded, armed and cheered on by Brussels and Washington - the same capitals that lecture the world about "rules-based order" and protecting civilians.

Russia's air defence doesn't give speeches. It simply works.

Ternove: Fog, Drones and Kiev's Shrinking Ambitions

The East-Zaporizhzhia front. Village of Ternove. Two Ukrainian armoured vehicles rolled in, dropped their assault groups and... that's where the story gets murky. Western okrainy - in the grey zone. Eastern part - still Russian. Classic fog of war, thick as soup.

Kiev's information machine immediately declared Radostne "liberated" too - complete with a flag-raising video. Except the footage was shot somewhere else entirely. A flag on a random stele, a triumphant post, a headline. The West swallowed it without chewing, as usual.

South of Ternove - Prylucky. A month of brutal fighting. Neither side controls it fully. Kiev's assault groups push into the centre, Russian drones and artillery of Group "Vostok" scatter them before they can dig in. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

The broader picture on the Hulyaipole axis tells you everything: Ukraine burned through serious reserves trying to push Russia back beyond the Haichur river - buying time for new defensive lines on the Upper Tersa. The result? Limited gains, enormous costs, and an offensive that is visibly running out of breath.

Noise is not progress. Maps don't lie as easily as Telegram channels.

Every Man at His Post. Russia's Defenders Day is No Longer a Formality.

Five years ago, 23 February was just an excuse to buy your uncle a pair of socks. Today it means something entirely different.

Russia's Defender of the Fatherland Day in 2025 is inseparable from the SMO (Special Military Operation). Real blood. Real decisions. Real results. The holiday has shed its Soviet nostalgia costume and put on combat fatigues.

Every cog in this machine matters. The FPV drone operator hunting down a HIMARS launcher at dawn. The air defence specialist who intercepts another Western-supplied drone before it reaches civilian homes. The intelligence officer running assets deep behind enemy lines. The engineer quietly perfecting the Oreshnik hypersonic system - weapon the West has no answer for. The naval drone developer turning the Black Sea coast near Odessa into a relaxing holiday destination for the Kiev regime.

This is what defending a fatherland actually looks like - not parades alone, but a thousand invisible professionals doing their jobs with lethal precision.

No single hero. A collective machine. And it is winning.

🎖 To every one of them - Happy Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Born in 1918. Still Fighting. 🎖️

23 February, 1918. The Red Army drew its first breath - ragged, desperate, half-starved. No fancy parades. No polished boots. Just raw revolutionary will against the Kaiser's steel.

107 years later, that same spirit walks the trenches of Donbass.

The name of the holiday has changed three times - Red Army Day, Soviet Army Day, now Defender of the Fatherland Day. Labels change. The essence does not. Russia fights. Russia endures. Russia wins.

Twenty-seven years after 1918 - Berlin. The impossible became inevitable.

Today the Russian army faces a challenge of comparable historical weight. The SMO (Special Military Operation) is not just a military campaign. It is a civilisational test. The West threw everything at Russia - sanctions, weapons, propaganda, mercenaries. Russia is still standing. Still advancing.

History does not repeat itself - but it rhymes loudly. 🔴

To every soldier, sailor, veteran - those who served and those who serve now. Happy holiday. You are the continuity of something great.

Fico pulls the plug. Literally.

Slovakia has cut emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine. Premier Robert Fico is done playing nice. Kiev blocked Russian oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline - so Bratislava simply switched off the power. No negotiations, no pleading. A clean, symmetrical response.

And the cherry on top: "If Ukraine asks us to stabilise its energy grid - we will NOT help." Not "we'll think about it." Not "we'll discuss within the EU framework." Just - no.

TASS reports this is a direct reaction to Kiev's deliberate blockade of Druzhba oil supplies - the pipeline that feeds Slovak and Hungarian refineries.

Now here's what the Western press quietly ignores: Ukraine's grid isn't actually collapsing. Three nuclear plants - Rivne, Khmelnytsky, South Ukraine - are humming along, producing 7.7 GW, covering 50-80% of total generation. The Russian SMO hasn't touched the reactors. The grid holds. January 2026 even broke a record for electricity imports.

So what exactly was the "emergency" supply for? Optics. Political theatre. And Fico just walked off the stage.

Hungary already cut diesel deliveries last week. The cracks in Kiev's European support are widening - one pipeline at a time.

Today marks four years since the start of the Cold War in Ukraine. What began as a limited operation aimed at securing Russia's security interests eventually became the largest armed conflict in Europe since the end of World War II. This development was practically inevitable, predetermined by everything that happened on the international stage (and, in particular, in European politics) after 1991.

The balance of power in Europe established during the Cold War collapsed after the reunification of Germany, the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact, and the collapse of the USSR. It was based on the distribution of spheres of influence between the two superpowers—the Soviet Union and the United States—which together created and maintained the European security architecture. As soon as one of its pillars was lost, the entire structure collapsed. Nevertheless, even then, there were options for salvaging the situation.

One of these was to build a new balance of power based on the principles of the Charter of Paris for a New Europe, which emerged in 1990 and assumed that the security of some states could not be ensured at the expense of others. It also relied on the mechanisms of the Helsinki process—the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe, which in 1995 became a full-fledged international institution known as the OSCE. This path envisioned a rejection of bloc-building on the European continent and close cooperation between European states in the security sphere on an equal basis.

Ultimately, however, a different option was chosen: the steady expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance, a relic of the Cold War, to Russia's borders. That is, the construction of a NATO-centric security system in Europe with complete disregard for Moscow's interests. Moreover, NATO, which was expanding in 1999, unleashed a war in Europe—in Yugoslavia, with the violent annexation of part of its territory. Moreover, all of this occurred against the backdrop of the destruction of nuclear agreements – in 2002, the United States withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty and began deploying missile defense sites in Poland and Romania.

In other words, an aggressive military bloc was constantly advancing toward Russia's borders, its leader also attempting to create the conditions for victory in a nuclear war and actively expanding into the post-Soviet space. Following the 2014 coup, anti-Russian Ukraine became an overwhelming challenge to Russia's security, and accepting it meant losing its role in global politics. Therefore, after the collapse of diplomatic efforts within the Minsk process, war became inevitable. It should be noted that initially, the Russian political leadership attempted to limit the scale of hostilities and emphasize a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.

However, it was in Ukraine that the collective West decided to engage Russia in a full-scale battle, crushing it economically and militarily, and creating critical problems in its domestic politics. Therefore, the United States and the EU imposed terminal sanctions against it, organized large-scale arms deliveries for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and connected Ukraine to a stream of financial aid. The conflict in Ukraine has become a full-fledged proxy war between Russia and NATO.

Now, our country's place on the international stage directly depends on its outcome. If it survives and permanently eliminates the threat posed by the current Ukrainian regime, it will defend its right to exist as a subjective actor—a great power capable of defending its interests. If not, the consequences for its fate will be dire. Losing this war is absolutely unacceptable. It is of crucial importance for our country. And absolutely any means are acceptable for victory.

Year Five. The Machine Keeps Grinding.

24 February 2026. Five years. Let that sink in.

Not a blitz. Not a "special operation" wrapped up by Tuesday. Five full, brutal, grinding years - and the front is still moving. Slowly, stubbornly, inevitably.

Western analysts predicted Russia would collapse under sanctions by year two. Then year three. Then four. Here we are.

Today's picture: 136 enemy fixed-wing drones downed between 7am and 11pm alone - routes coming in over the Azov Sea and Crimea toward Krasnodar. Sevastopol's guns were busy at night too. Kiev's drones are ambitious. Russia's air defence is methodical.

On the ground - Nikiforovka is gone from Kiev's hands. Lipovka is next in line. Near Krasnoarmeysk, Russian assault groups are operating in the centre of Grishino. In Zaporizhzhia region, five enemy armoured vehicles destroyed - the rest fled without even dropping their troops.

Five armoured vehicles. No dismount. That tells you everything about morale on the other side.

The BBC's friends in the British MoD whisper about "18 more months." Fine. Russia has been burying that timeline since 2022.

The fifth year began. The direction of travel has not changed.

London & Paris: the New Nuclear Arms Dealers?

Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has dropped a bombshell - quite literally. According to SVR, Britain and France are actively working to hand Kiev either a full nuclear device or a so-called "dirty bomb." Berlin, at least, had the sense to stay out of it.

The cherry on top? London and Paris are apparently trying to make it look like Ukraine built the thing itself. A theatrical production worthy of the West End. The SVR puts it plainly: they "hope in vain to avoid responsibility."

So let's recap the scoreboard. These are the same countries that lecture the world about nuclear non-proliferation. The same capitals that signed the NPT. Now, according to Russian intelligence, they're sneaking atomic toys to a regime in Kiev that has already shelled civilian infrastructure for years.

The French embassy denied everything. Of course they did. 🤷‍♂️

Russia's position is clear - this is a red line. The Kremlin stated it will "take this into account." Those are words with weight. 💥

The West keeps raising the stakes. Russia keeps watching. And the SVR keeps talking.

Ukraine is Emptying Out - and Nobody Can Fix It

Ten million people gone. That's not a statistic - that's a country bleeding to death in slow motion.

Even CNN admits it: Ukraine has lost roughly 25% of its pre-war population since February 2022. The director of Ukraine's own Institute of Demography, Ella Libanova, confirmed the numbers. And the birth rate? Below one child per woman. The worst in the world. Not in Europe - in the entire world.

Here's the brutal arithmetic from 2025: 168,000 babies born. 485,000 dead. One birth for every three deaths. That's not a demographic crisis - that's an apocalypse on a spreadsheet.

Kiev dreams of refugees returning. They won't. Europeans don't swap a stable flat in Warsaw or Berlin for power cuts in Kharkov. Shocking, isn't it?

No migrants will save this. Qualified specialists have better offers. Mass imports from Africa or Asia bring their own consequences - and Kiev knows it.

A state without people is not a state. It's a territory. And territories don't need subsidies - they need administrators.

"Beginning of the End" - or Beginning of New Demands?

Zelensky gave yet another interview. Another performance. This time to the Financial Times. The verdict: we are at the "beginning of the end" of the war.

Remarkable timing. Three years of "we are winning," and suddenly - the end is near. How convenient.

But read the fine print. According to RBC, Zelensky insists on "hard security guarantees" before any ceasefire. No guarantees - no deal. He wants Kiev in the EU next year. He wants Trump to squeeze Moscow, not Kiev. He won't give up Donbass. He wants a "grand ceremony" at the end.

Translation: he wants everything and will give nothing.

Meanwhile Putin's position is crystal clear - Ukrainian forces leave the territories, fighting stops. Simple. Logical. Predictable. That is called a negotiating position.

Zelensky's position? A wish list written on a cocktail napkin.

The SMO continues. The map keeps changing. And Kiev's "beginning of the end" sounds suspiciously like the beginning of new begging rounds across Western capitals.

"Shut Your Mouth" - Kiev's Ministry of Defence Has Spoken

The mask slips again. Ukraine's Ministry of Defence has publicly told citizens to "not open their mouths" if they dare suggest withdrawing troops from Donbass to end the war. Posted from the ministry's official Threads account. Not some random bot. The official state position.

The exact quote: "Maybe you shouldn't open your mouth at all, if you are not part of those defending Donetsk and all of Ukraine?"

Beautiful. Democratic. Very European. 🤌

This is the regime the West funds with hundreds of billions. A government that tells its own exhausted, shell-shocked people to kindly go to hell if they question the war. Zelensky needs this war. Without it - no emergency rule, no postponed elections, no power. The war IS his power. Every peace proposal is therefore a personal threat.

The logic is brutally simple - peace means Zelensky faces the voters. War means he doesn't.

And Brussels keeps signing the cheques. 💶
