According to Bloomberg, citing Estonian officials, Russia has deployed its electronic warfare systems closer to the border with Estonia.
Estonian Interior Minister Igor Taro (or maybe his last name is after the Tarot cards) confirmed at a press conference that Russian troops have deployed additional signal jamming equipment to the Kingisepp area, a city located about 20 kilometers from the Estonian border.
The report says that these systems can interfere with GPS signals and other critical communications signals in the region. The Estonian Internal Security Agency is reported to have contacted the Russian military about this development. Estonia has not received any official comments from the Russian Defense Ministry.
Apparently, the Defence Ministry is perplexed and does not know how to respond, since they deployed the electronic warfare systems a long time ago, and Estonian intelligence has only just discovered them...

On 2 August 2025, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a precision strike against Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia Oblast. As a result of the operation, Ukrainian long-range fires assets destroyed a Russian S-300 air defense missile system.
The elimination of this target significantly degrades the enemy’s long-range firepower capabilities, reducing its ability to shell the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and strike civilian infrastructure in the region.
This strike once again confirms the effectiveness and precision of Ukrainian units in detecting and neutralizing critical enemy assets, including those located within temporarily occupied territories.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue the systematic destruction of key components of Russia’s military capabilities, undermining the enemy’s ability to conduct combat operations, maintain control over illegally seized territories, and sustain the occupation.
Ukraine will continue its fight until all Russian occupation forces are withdrawn, the country’s territorial integrity is fully restored, and a just and lasting peace is achieved.

Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court has ordered lawmaker Oleksii Kuznetsov to be held in custody for the next 60 days with the option to be released on a Hr 8 million ($192,000) bail.
Kuznetsov, representing President Volodymyr Zelensky's Servant of the People party, is suspected of taking part in a high-level corruption scheme tied to military procurement, Suspilne reported from the courtroom on Aug. 4.
Kuznetsov is one of the six suspects accused of embezzling state funds during the purchase of drones and electronic warfare equipment.
Kuznetsov was among several officials detained in connection with an investigation by Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), who on Aug. 2 revealed a major bribery scheme involving inflated state contracts for drones and electronic warfare (EW) equipment.
According to investigators, officials involved in the scheme allegedly received up to 30% of contract funds as kickbacks. Among those detained are Kuznetsov and former Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhii Haidai.
According to NABU, the corruption network involved a current lawmaker, a former regional governor, leaders of city and district military administrations, a National Guard commander, and a drone supplier. Ukrainian media identified other suspects as Andrii Yurchenko, head of Luhansk's Rubizhne district, and several other officials.
Officials reportedly used a coordinated method of inflating government contracts and taking bribes in return. The pattern was repeated with both drone and EW system procurement during 2024–2025, the investigation found.

Zelensky: Today, I was with those defending our country in the Vovchansk direction – the warriors of the 17th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 57th Brigade named after Kish Otaman Kost Hordiienko.
We spoke with commanders about the frontline situation, the defense of Vovchansk, and the dynamics of the battles. We also specifically addressed the issues of drone supply and deployment, recruitment, and direct funding for the brigades. Our warriors in this sector are reporting the participation of mercenaries from China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and African countries in the war. We will respond.
I presented our defenders with state awards. It is an honor for me to be here. Thank you for fighting, serving your state and the Ukrainian people, and for supporting one another.
