Another thing in Peep Show that's quite accurate (yes, I'm re-watching it at the moment):

When Jez is head over heels for Elena and notices that he's actually enthralled listening to her go on about her day at work when it's exactly the kind of thing that bores the arse off him coming from anyone else.

That really does happen when you get attached to someone. Then and only then.

Women seem to really like 'She's Electric' by Oasis.

Presumably because they all like to imagine themselves as the subject of the song, i.e. the apparently "electric" woman.

I reckon part of the reason it was so easy to get them branding every bloke they meet a "narcissist" is that the mere suggestion that someone else might have started playing what they consider to be their game and their game only, outrages them.

I've always loved Johnny Davidson.

Geezer.

BAFTAs host Alan Cumming delivered a message after the ceremony was interrupted by Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson yelling the N-word while Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage:

“You may have noticed some strong language in the background there, this can be part of how Tourette’s syndrome shows up for some people as the film explores that experience”

Cumming later said he was sorry if anyone was offended and that “the tics are involuntary”

This is me between Christmas and New Year of 2020, attempting to impersonate Johnny Davidson wandering around Matalan (plus his overlaid account of what it's like to have Tourette's), as seen in the 2009 documentary, Tourette's: I Swear I Can't Help It.

I'm on the side of the lesbians again.

It's like the first time I heard 'Constant Craving' by k.d. lang.

All the amusement at the BAFTA Awards Ceremony incident aside, it must be horrible for Johnny Davidson and anyone who suffers with Tourette Syndrome.

Constant foul-mouthed outbursts that you can't control, hurling verbal abuse at strangers, and involuntarily lashing out at people.

It's only when you describe it in those terms that you understand why no one realised there was anything wrong with him until he left Scotland for the first time.

From the Epstein files.
If you went by the attention harvesting shit many women post on social media, you'd be forgiven for thinking that their main grievances about being "objectified" and "sexualised" are actually just outrage at someone else having the temerity to copy something only they should be allowed to do. As though they were a child who looked out of the front room window and saw that the kid across the road had got hold of their bike and was riding around on it.
Some people are bad at taking the hint that you can't be arsed talking to them.

Was out at the weekend and some young lad, either pissed, on coke, or both, was talking to me and generally being a bit annoying.

Then he asked my name and jokingly went, "Hassan?"

Bastard.

From then on I quite liked him.

Quite amazing to be called Brandon Bashforth and look like that, and then get a Football Banning Order for dropping the nut on a steward. The brand alignment of name, appearance, and behaviour is incredible.

The bloke both looks like and has the name of a character who'd be equally at home in The Beano or Viz.
