I'll probably be asleep by the time this post appears.

And then Telegram goes and posts them the wrong way round.

Video was meant to be at midnight on the dot. πŸ™„

Happy New Year everyone. I slept through all the bollocks.

I'll hopefully get back to streaming about once a week this year if I've got the time and enough to talk about.

My Dad's just said this about a Leeds player:

"He reminds of that lad who got killed in America." (killed in a famously violent country of 360 million people, narrows it down nicely)

"Who... Charlie Kirk?"

"No, the one in those films... Thunder Cars... No, The Fast and the Furious".

Thunder Cars. πŸ˜‚

Drove on a couple of new roads on Cannock Chase last night. One of them was spectacular, can't wait to drive on it in daylight.

I do get excited about roads.

Classic Sam Fender.

This lyric video was the first time I'd heard it, and that was only a minute ago. It hadn't even got to the chorus by the time I'd added iy to my Spotify playlist titled 'Best of Sam Fender' which only had my absolute favourite 12 songs on it. Now 13 obviously.

Just a shame it ends so abruptly.

Brooke Bentham adds so much to Sam Fender's live show. Just having a woman singing harmonies gives the music like 10-20 per cent more power. She plays various instruments (guitar, keys, percussion), but as well as that, just having someone dancing around and literally jumping for joy during a saxophone solo or an extended outro adds to the spectacle.

Why have difficult conversations over a load of bollocks when you could just walk away from them and go back to bed?

One thing these Indian subcontinent types get right is multigenerational households.

Bitches gather round for the Spenglerian Stud
I start spittin' about Powell and the Rivers of Blood
Stick your multicult delusions 'cuz Harehills shattered 'em
Can't fuckin' stand Roma want Lazio to batter 'em

In terms of composition, these are the best four bars I've ever written.

Still gives me a laugh when Nativist lyrics come into my head. An utterly stupid pastime that has given me and about two other people much amusement.

Hopefully they do Bacon Fries in this pub...

Forwarded from The Outlaw's Rest
Outside the Storm is raging, the days are short, bleak and cold.

Never has the world felt more hostile.

Luckily for you, you've stumbled across a cosy old pub nestled deep in the English Countryside. The warm air alive with the joy of fireside conversation and gentle folk melody.

Sat at a nearby table are three friendly faces, Pints in hand:

Joe (The Wessex Nomad),
Jack (Staffordshire Folklore),
and Josh (The Jolly Reiver).

You're invited to come in, sit down, and join the conversation of the day.

You may be new here, but you're always sure of a warm reception here, at 'The Outlaw's Rest'.

You have no idea how real female solipsism is until a woman who's interested in you has found your streams and swears blind that you were never attracted to her, a brunette, because she heard you reference, in passing, with regard to humanity at large, the thing about men having a tendency to find blonde hair appealing in women because fairer hair is associated with youth and vulnerability, and heard you mention that you once liked a blonde-haired girl.

They think everything you say is your own perspective and that everything you say relates to them.

It's mad enough just talking to them about it so it must be absolutely knackering for them when their minds are naturally that way every waking moment.

And as for trying to explain the concept and origin of Nativist bars, God almighty... Forget it.

They hear some lyric including something about "leaving bitches on read", and they'll think it's you talking about them, as opposed to you doing a piss take alter ego of an absolute gigasperg you used to be on a podcast with.

This to me is just an extraordinary song, yet again. Got Elton John playing the piano on it as well.

This one, 'The Treadmill', and 'Empty Spaces' are all in Sam Fender's top 15 songs for me, and none of them even made it onto the original release of People Watching, they only came out on the Deluxe edition which was released at the end of last year.

This song is also a great example of what I was saying the other week about Brooke Bentham's voice adds to the music.
