A conversation I had earlier on tonight with a beloved little girl who recently celebrated her third birthday.

HER: What are you doing?

ME: Watching football and eating Frazzles. Do you want one?

HER: Are they spicy?

Me: No, they're bacon flavoured so they're sort of salty. Do you want one?

HER: No, I'll have one later.

*I take a couple from the bag for myself*

HER: Actually I'll have one now.

ME: Okay then.

*I hand her a Frazzle. She takes a small bite from it.*

HER: I want a bag of them.

ME (knowing she'd never finish a bag): Why don't we share one? Eat the one you've got and I'll give you another.

Then she walked off.

The point being, women are like this from the beginning with food and decisions. 😂

Football Manager 26 was officially released at 4pm yesterday and it's already the seventh most negatively reviewed game of all time on Steam

After the fiasco of Football Manager 25 being delayed by nearly five months and ultimately cancelled, Miles Jacobson, the director of Sports Interactive who make the game, said that if Football Manager 26 bombs, it may end up being the last edition of the game.

On the evidence so far, it looks like they might be buggered.

I mean it really is an absolute mess. So many bugs, so many things missing, so many unfathomable omissions and backward steps, and the menus and screens are nothing short of a nightmare.

You see women go on about therapy and say men should go into therapy all the time because women love to moan about things whereas men actually want to solve problems.

Talking to some libtard about your childhood does nothing to fix the world.

I've seen this first hand and I expect most men have experienced it. The time that stands out most is a time when an ex started moaning about her life situation to the point of crying - unhappy still living with her mother, unhappy with her line of work, unhappy not to be earning more money. All stuff for which there were no quick or easy fixes, and which would all require a lot of hard work, discipline, and perseverence to yield any improvements.

Leaving me, a man, with a man's innate desire to find solutions when a woman complains, and sense of responsibility for doing so, feeling the pressure in my brain ratchet up by the second the longer she moaned and cried. Because what could I do? Say she needed to work harder and that it'd take ages to see the benefits? Obviously that wasn't going to be much comfort to her.

Eventually I snapped a bit and said something like "I don't know what you want me to say or do", and we briefly fell out.

The next day she explained that she just wanted to moan and only expected what basically amounted to generic platitutes of sympathy in return. Which, as a man, would have seemed utterly pointless and embarrassing.

We're just completely different and I think women may actually be worse at understanding that then men are.

And that's one of the reasons - as well as I think sometimes wanting to pathologise and belittle a man who isn't exactly as they'd want him to be - why they go on about how men should be in talk therapy.

This is the second time I've done something like this. You'd think I was obsessed with the idea of dying or something.

Tell you what, the mad thing about women supposedly being even more wary of rejection in courtship than men, is that in the very rare instances in which they'll actually bother their arse to take the initiative and ask a bloke out for a drink or straight up state that they've got the eye for him, it's usually directed at men who are well out of their league, and with whom the chance of getting brushed off is a lot higher.

Work that one out. Seen it many times.

Playing devil's advocate, maybe it's the case that it's not quite such a disappointment if they already think at the outset that the bloke in question might be a bit of a long shot.

Then again, it's pretty common for women to show a mixture of shock and disbelief when they're forward with a bloke and don't get anywhere, so the devil's advocate is probably talking bollocks in this case as he so often does.

More likely they all just reckon they'd have a fair shot with the sort of blokes Salma Hayek could have got in the late '90s.

Anyone who says anything like this should be tasered, given the birch, then bent over in the stocks for an hour while members of the public take turns to boot them up the crack of their arse as hard as they possibly can.

Accuse me and The Wizard of Odds of taking things like this too seriously if you want, but there is a point to it. The way women so often speak to their husbands or boyfriends is appalling.

I've not really got a dog in the fight, either in terms of having much bad personal experience in that regard, nor in there being any prospect of me settling down and having to deal with that sort of bollocks because that window's closed for me really.

But on the other hand, the number of them who think it's their prerogative to boss men around and speak to them like shit was one of many things that always made women in general seem like they weren't worth any of the effort. Ones who were both appealing enough in their good traits, and free of intolerable flaws were, and remain, like rocking horse shit.
