I don't know much about borderline personality disorder (BPD) beyond the sort of summary ChatGPT would give you, but I've met close to ten women who've either talked about being diagnosed with it, or seemed to have a lot of the obvious traits of it. I knew one man who I think probably had it as well, based on the observations of someone else who knew him a bit, and who knows a lot more about BPD and psychology in general than I do.

The thing is, if you presented a lot of men of the Millennial generation and younger with a bullet-point description of BPD, I reckon a lot of them would think "I mean this is basically just a slightly exaggerated description of most women, is it not?" And for some they will have known, not at all exaggerated.

It's really quite incredible how a single advert featuring a conventionally somewhat attractive blonde-haired, blue-eyed White woman for a change instead of a fat black lesbian or something along those lines has sent non-Whites into apoplexy.

When women say they want men to be "emotionally available", I reckon they mostly mean, "be comfortably out of my league so that I'm actually attracted to you, but act like you aren't - i.e. treat me like I'm more than just one of various unfulfilling options two or three points down the attractiveness scale from you."

Few words make my inner monologue say "bullshit" more firmly than the word "debunked". More often than not when you see the word "debunked", it's in relation to a false claim that something which is obviously true but inconvenient for the powers that be has been "debunked", when it's the speaking or teaching of the truth in question has actually just been aggressively stigmatised and in some cases criminalised.
