Visible or Invisible

Sometimes I feel I only exist when it’s my birthday, or when someone needs something from me. The rest of the time, I vanish.
Not because I’m gone—
but because no one’s looking.

I speak my truth,
but it only reaches those living the same life—
souls who feel invisible too.
They hear me,
but they’re far away,
out of reach.

The ones nearby?
They see fame.
They see noise.
They see what’s trending.
To be seen by them, I’d have to be famous.
Why is it that way?

Has everyone gone blind to what’s real?
To the quiet truths beside them?
To the people who feel deeply but don’t perform loudly?

Am I a festival?
Only celebrated when the calendar says so?
Am I a tool?
Only picked up when someone needs something?
Am I seasonal?
Only relevant when it suits the moment?

Am I not here?
Am I not real?
Am I invisible?
Do you only miss me when you need something?

I am here.
I am real.
I am visible—
even when you don’t see me.
