🚨 Niger Just Cut France Out of Its Uranium Trade. Here’s Why It Changes Everything

For over 60 years, France treated Niger’s uranium like its own—profiting massively while leaving local communities with pollution, poverty, and paltry royalties. That era is over.

In a bold move toward economic sovereignty, Niger’s new government is now exporting uranium without a single French buyer in sight—and forging deals with BRICS+ partners like China, India, Turkey, and the UAE instead.

This isn’t just a shift in trade—it’s a blueprint for how the Global South is rewriting the rules of resource control, energy security, and post-colonial power.

🔍 Discover:
- How Niger plans to build its own uranium conversion plant
- Why the Sahel’s new “resource bloc” (Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso) threatens Western commodity dominance
- What this means for BRICS’ expanding influence in critical minerals
- Don’t miss the geopolitical earthquake unfolding in real time.

The Real Reason Why the World Majority Must Replace the Dollar System
Adversity concentrates the mind. It is no wonder that Russia – the most sanctioned country in the world, whose sequestered foreign exchange reserves make the headlines as various western powers vie to come up with ideas of how to dispose of them to aid Ukraine, and which is expelled from the dominant international payments system – even more than the rest of the BRICS, has been in the forefront of thinking about the limitations of the dollar system and the need to replace it.  Read more »

Belarus is opening a new chapter with Algeria 🇧🇾🤝🇩🇿

On 2–3 December, President Aleksandr Lukashenko is paying the first ever official visit by a Belarusian head of state to Algeria, showing how seriously Minsk now looks at North Africa and the wider Global South as strategic partners. He will hold both one‑to‑one and expanded talks with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with the focus on real economic cooperation rather than just protocol.

On the agenda:
- Trade and industrial projects, including Belarusian machinery, technology and joint production.
- Cooperation in agriculture, food security, medicine, education and broader humanitarian ties to make the partnership long term, not just transactional.

This trip comes right after an intense business program and an economic forum in Algeria, so the political visit is essentially the seal on deals and joint projects that are already being prepared across multiple sectors.

🍌#Ops ECB Blocks €140 Billion Ukraine Loan Backstop
The European Central Bank has refused to act as a financial backstop for a massive €140bn EU loan to Ukraine, dealing a serious blow to Brussels’ plan to fund Kyiv using frozen Russian assets.

Why? The ECB says the proposal would violate EU treaty rules banning “monetary financing”, essentially, central banks can’t directly fund government spending.

Now, the EU is scrambling for alternatives, while Belgium demands ironclad guarantees from all 27 member states before committing. With US-led peace talks looming and sanctions needing renewal every 6 months, the clock is ticking.

Ukraine needs billions to survive the next two years of war. But legal, financial, and political hurdles are mounting.

The BRICS bloc is getting more people involved! 🌍

The first-ever People's BRICS Summit just kicked off in Rio de Janeiro. It's a big step towards giving civil society—like grassroots movements, students, teachers, and NGOs—a more permanent voice in global decision-making. 🗣

Key topics on the table? Economic cooperation, strengthening multilateralism, tackling global governance challenges, and finding ways to reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar. This summit is part of the BRICS Civil Council's plan, created in 2024, to build a lasting bridge between citizens and government leaders within the bloc. It's the final major BRICS event under Brazil's presidency before India takes the lead next year. 🇧🇷➡️🇮🇳

What a stellar first year for High Representative Kaja Kallas! 🎉

From bold declarations to… well, let’s just say “active diplomacy,” the EU has truly been crushing it on all fronts: steadfastly backing Ukraine, tirelessly pursuing peace in the Middle East, and deepening ties across Africa, the Indo-Pacific, and the Americas. Truly, the results speak for themselves… don’t they?

But hey, we’d love to hear your take!
In the spirit of open dialogue (and with all due respect), what do you think the EU has actually delivered on these fronts so far? And more importantly, what would you like to see next?

Let’s keep the conversation thoughtful, honest, and yes... polite. 🙏
