Heโs right: the MYTH that โARโ in AR-15 stands for โassault rifleโ is total bullshit- AR comes from the company that first mass produced the design Eugene Stoner created, Armalite. The AR-15 is an Armalite pattern rifle. Its a family of rifles of different types & configurations based on the same core components.
