When I was suspended on Twitter I had 900k followers there. It took a large component of my business back a notch —- for a while. Then, what I had always said turned out to be true. They stopped controlling the flow of information. As more people realized the flaming heap it was and either were banned or left, the more our reach grew. In my world twitter used to be something that was needed for substantiation. No more.

I still believe their single biggest mistake was banning all of us. At least when they had us all there they could limit the reach of what we are saying. Now they can’t.

Just in case you weren't watching The Late Night L Stream tonight, I had a bit of a moment where I recalled that a place I used to work around 7 years ago had its training program designed by Disney.

Disney has an entire program called the Disney Institute that creates training programs for many large companies in the US and around the world that emphasize a need for employees to buy into a whole mindset and way of being that extends far beyond exchanging your time and labor for pay.

Disney and my former workplace also had internal social media for employees. Guess who provided this social media? Facebook (Meta). It's called Workplace. Same thing. A way to communicate with your coworkers that was constantly monitored and beholden to the company.

You want your right to free speech? Fine. But if more and more companies adopt the Disney training programs and insist employees use Meta-based social media, then the Metaverse won't be optional eventually. And they don't believe in free speech.
