The 7 dogs (all neighbors from one village, incl. a corgi leader + injured German Shepherd) were stolen for the dog meat trade.

They escaped a moving transport truck on the Changshuang Expressway on Mar 16, and walked 17km home together over 2 days.
They all made it home save to their owners

Video filmed by local netizen Lu on Douyin;
The details were confirmed by owners, rescuers (via drone), and Chinese outlets like Dahe Daily/Jimu News. It hit 230M+ views there before spreading.

Sometimes, you don’t need eyes to enjoy nature, if all the other senses work, it is just as beautiful! 🥰

Tomorrow, a very special guest is coming to stay with me again, for 2.5 weeks.

I first met Nero in June 2022, when he was just a tiny ginger kitten.
He stayed with me for two weeks back then, and again at the end of July—right before I left the Netherlands to live in Mexico for a year.

By the time I came back, he had grown into a huge and still adorable cat 🐈

From mid-2024 onward, he visited me again—and every time, it feels instantly familiar. He has his favorite spots in my home.

Then in March 2025, Nero became a big brother.

Lily entered the picture 🐱
She is a rescue , tiny but fierce.
I met her for the first time in May when they came to stay together—and let’s just say… she runs the show.

The two of them are an absolute hilarious and adorable pair.

I’ve seen them last in Oct 2025
and missed them so much!

I’ll share their adventures in a compilation after their stay—but for now, here’s a little look back at our story so far ✨

Pippi and Tiger are brother and sister.

They're quite passive (as many Scottish folds and British shorts tend to be), but certain toys, Ipad cat games and YouTube squirrels and birds would do the trick for them….
and cuddling ofcourse! 🥰

I will see these two again this summer for three weeks 🌸

Over the years l've had many guest cats to visit.

Tio and Lina who came to me the first time in 2022, exactly a year after the passing of both my cats, they looked the same as them in colors and race. It was uncanny.

Nero who grew from a kitten to a giant today, his new little sister Lily who joined him last year.

But also some now gone and many more I couldn't post.

I love them all, they all have given me sweet memories.
Some of them have pushed me through the loss of my own cats. Nero was one of those, but also Mr Darcy and Oscar (not in pictures)

Some of them I will miss forever as if they were my own. 🐾🌈❤️

Nero and Lili woke me up this morning, I had two purring faces next to my pillow.
That was my cue to get out of bed

I let them on the balcony for a bit but the weather was cold and windy, so they played inside and took their naps.

They've been here since Thursday and will stay for 2.5 weeks 🥰
I will obviously save the best pictures and clips for the compilation video 😁
