October 30, 2020, a warning was issued that Iran would attempt to interfere and influence in the 2020 election, which came from a previous successful hack from Iran stealing voter data information.

A newly obtained FOIA CISA reported that prior to this warning letter being sent, Iranian hackers successfully breached Alaska’s voter registration database just days before Election Day, stealing personal data on more than 100,000 voters, including names, Social Security numbers, and driver’s licenses.
