Iโve been away from rooting for a while.
Back then, it was simple: Magisk, KernelSU, APatch.
I recently came back, tried all the new options .. KSU Next, various forks, Sukisu, and others .. and tested them in real use.
After all that, the result was clear:
Magisk is still the best.
More stable, better module support, fewer compatibility issues.
Others have interesting ideas, but in daily use theyโre just not as reliable.
Thatโs it. Real testing, real conclusion.

After updating to firmware version 16.0.3.501, the hardware rollback fuse blows when updating the bootloader (CPU/XBL), permanently blocking the installation of any older firmware.
What does this mean
1. You will NEVER be able to revert to an older version of a custom or stock firmware.
Attempting to rollback == hard brick
2. Installing ANY custom firmware created before this update over 16.0.3.501 (or newer) will permanently brick your device.
Recovery is impossible
EDL / 9008 do not work
Firehose / Chimera do not work
Unauthorized tools are useless
The only repair option is replacing the motherboard.
If the update number is 16.0.3.5xx -
DO NOT INSTALL IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
If you have already updated - NEVER try to downgrade
EDL / 9008 / Chimera will no longer work.
