Let's take a closer look at the transition animations in iOS 26 Beta 6.

Advantages:
The animations feel more lively compared to previous versions. The new transitions create a greater sense of depth, as if the screen were a flexible, almost magical fabric being pulled out—like a robe or a piece of cloth being drawn forward. If the animation were slowed down slightly in future updates, allowing more visible details, it would look even more stunning.

Current flaws:
The animation is too fast. At this speed, intricate details can appear as frame drops to the human eye. The more complex an animation is, the less it should be rushed. Additionally, the shorter the animation duration, the less noticeable the background blur becomes—in this version, the blur is practically invisible. Another issue is that the background wallpaper scaling has been removed, which shouldn’t have happened.

The animation also suffers from inconsistent speed, leading to unstable frame rates. For example, there’s still a slight pause at the beginning of the swipe-back gesture—a long-standing issue that remains unresolved in this new animation. There’s definitely room for further optimization.
