Creators: starting today, we're updating our profanity monetization policy to better align with updated standards in advertising & to address your feedback! Strong profanity in the first 7 sec is now eligible to earn full ad revenue.

This policy originally aligned YouTube's content standards with the guidelines set for TV. However, ad controls provided to advertisers today give them choices over where their ads appear based on levels of strong profanity in content. We also heard a lot of creator feedback about this specific rule.


Given these factors, we’ve decided to revise our policy to help creators. This change should help improve creator earnings, particularly for gaming creators.

The Epic Games Store is bringing Fortnite back to Google Play

Epic just won a huge legal victory, so the Epic Games Store is coming soon to the Google Play Store. Epic CEO Tim Sweeney tweeted that no more sideloading or tricky installs for Fortnite and other games! The court ruled Google’s app store practices were monopolistic and now must let rival stores like Epic’s operate inside the Play Store for at least three years, plus allow other payment systems and fairer competition. Google plans to appeal, but the changes are moving ahead for now. 🎮

👀 From August 1, the EU banned the unlocking of the bootloaders of Android Smartphones!

🟢 new requirements aimed at strengthening cybersecurity entered into force. Manufacturers are now required according to the Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU:
- block the installation unofficial software;
- use Secure Boot;
- Launch only signed firmware

‼️ What does this mean for ordinary users:
- unlocking the bootloader will become inaccessible to devices near the EU;
-installation of custom firmware and ROOT access-more impossible;
- Samsung has already been removed by Anglok option in Oneui 8;
- Xiaomi, Google can also follow this trend
