Ullu, ALTT, Desiflix among 25 OTT platforms banned for showing soft porn
The Indian government has banned 25 OTT platformsβincluding ULLU, ALTT, Desiflix, Big Shots App, and othersβfor streaming obscene and sexually explicit content, described by officials as βsoft pornβ disguised as web series. This move follows public complaints and concerns over content that often lacked plot, degraded women, and violated IT and obscenity laws.
The bans, implemented after consultation with ministries and regulatory bodies, aim to protect minors and enforce content decency standards. Internet providers have been directed to block access to the listed apps and websites across India.

Creators: starting today, we're updating our profanity monetization policy to better align with updated standards in advertising & to address your feedback! Strong profanity in the first 7 sec is now eligible to earn full ad revenue.
This policy originally aligned YouTube's content standards with the guidelines set for TV. However, ad controls provided to advertisers today give them choices over where their ads appear based on levels of strong profanity in content. We also heard a lot of creator feedback about this specific rule.
Given these factors, weβve decided to revise our policy to help creators. This change should help improve creator earnings, particularly for gaming creators.

In the latest version of Telegram Beta for Android, Telegram introduces a new profile rating system that reflects your activity across the platform.
Your rating increases when you spend stars on gifts, paid reactions in channels, or premium posts. It may decrease if you convert gifts back into stars.
Bots also earn a visible rating based on how often they send gifts.
Importantly, your rating builds on past activity β it doesn't start at one.
This feature is currently available in the test backend.
